I really enjoyed this book. It is a series of letters written by 3 Maryknoll Sisters working in the Marshall Islands (South Pacific). Joan Crevcoure is my aunt and I loved hearing what her day-to-day life was like. They had some incredible adventures! These are 3 remarkable women with strong faith that leads them. Ocean Pathways Joan Crevcoure Books Reviews
What a story¡ I learned so much about those little pin points on the map of the Pacific. and the account of how the author and her colleagues served people in those islands for 60 years provides an exotic and inspiring read. I was truly moved to tears at the tender love and devotion of these educators who accepted all kinds of risks to establish schools and accompany people whose history is one of subsistence living which has persisted even as experiments with atom and H bombs went on. This is a read that will open interest in the world of Micronesia.
Stunning original story of a very unique situation, plus it is a true memoir! I started it and couldn't put it down until the end!
